*** EAT AT THE ROUND ROCK FREEB!RDS WORLD BURRITO to support Project Graduation!  FREEB!RDS is sponsoring a contest between VRHS, Stony Point HS and Georgetown HS.  The winning school getting 250 burritos donated to their Project Graduation, 2nd place gets 75 burritos.  Contest runs until 24-May-2012!

Go to FREEB!RDS at 200 University Blvd (across 1431 from Ikea), and when you pay, tell them it is for VRHS Project Graduation and they will count your entire bill toward the final tally.  Whichever school eats the most during the contest gets 250 FREEB!RDS BURRITOS for the night of Project Graduation.

Get out there and buy FREEB!RDS!.

PROJECT GRADUATION is an all-night, parent-chaperoned, drug-, alcohol- and smoke-free celebration for graduating seniors, promoting the message that celebrating without alcohol, cigarettes and drugs is the right choice.  It will be held the night of graduation, Saturday 2-Jun-2012 from 11PM to 5AM-ish Sunday 3-Jun.  Project Graduation is sponsored by the Vista Ridge High School Project Graduation organization.  As an organization, we have a strong commitment to promoting a safe, wholesome AND entertaining environment for our graduates to celebrate for the last time as a class.

This tradition is our community's response to the many hazardous and harmful activities often associated with high school graduation celebrations.  Many volunteers and sponsors work together to make graduation night safe and memorable for all the right reasons…and we always receive an enthusiastic response from the graduates in attendance.

The cost per student attending Project Graduation is intended to be free, provided we raise the funds necessary to put on this large venue.  To make the evening free and available to all graduating seniors, Project Graduation counts on the generous support of corporate and individual sponsors as well as fundraising activities that are held during the course of the year. The financial goal of VRHS Project Graduation 2012 and the estimated cost for the entertainment, food, security, prizes, and other costs is on the order of $30,000 to $40,000 from past years.
